Zilla® Black Reflector Dome is a sturdy incandescent light fixture built to provide long-lasting heat or light to reptile terrariums. With a ceramic socket that can withstand the constant heat of bulbs up to 150 watts, it is built to last. The powder-coated black exterior and reflective white interior finishes give it added shine and durability. The dome also comes with a 6 ft. power cord and an in-line on/off switch positioned near the fixture for easy use. Additionally, spring clips are included to securely hold the dome on the screen top.
Ectothermic reptiles rely on external sources such as the sun for warmth, as they are unable to produce their own body heat. They utilize this heat energy to maintain their bodily functions, digest food and stay healthy. Therefore, heat lamps are necessary to provide the heat required by reptiles.
